Adopting a dedicated constant-current melt pressurization system, specialized rheometer, high-precision temperature and pressure measurement sensors, high-speed computing and processing units, along with specially designed drives and heating structures, it constitutes a complete online melt viscosity measurement device, enabling online measurement of melt viscosity.

Due to the system's overall frame design, which is robust and reliable, and features stable measurement accuracy, this system can accurately reflect changes in melt viscosity and can be widely applied in process control for viscosity measurement in industries such as petroleum refining, chemicals, ethylene production, fertilizers, chemical fiber and textile manufacturing, and more.

The product's design structure fully meets the requirements of industrial control, and its installation conditions safely comply with the requirements of instrumentation measurement technology.

Measurement Principle

Incompressible melt fluid flows as a steady laminar flow in a horizontal pipe, with the measurement section far from the pipe inlet and outlet, and the flow being one-dimensional along the axial direction.

After deriving and simplifying the continuity equation and Navier-Stokes equation in cylindrical coordinates, it can be concluded that for a capillary viscometer, the length and diameter of the fluid flow path are fixed. By measuring the pressure drop and volumetric flow rate of the fluid, the viscosity value can be obtained using a simplified formula.
